Summary

We study processes in the solid Earth that affect the chemical composition of the interior of our planet.

Our interdisciplinary research broadly falls across three themes:

Geochemical mantle processes

Fluid-rock interaction

Rates of Geological Processes

We have strong collaborations with the Cohen Geochemistry group (Earth Surface Science Institute), the Petrophysics group in the Wolfson laboratory (Institute for Applied Geosciences) as well as links across the University with Material Sciences and Civil Engineering.

We encourage PhD proposals that align with the research undertaken by staff in the Rocks, Melts and Fluids research group.

Useful links and further reading:

Research degrees within the School of Earth and Environment

Rocks, Melts and Fluids group

School of Earth and Environment, Research and Innovation

Leeds Doctoral College

Our Doctoral College supports you throughout your postgraduate research journey. It brings together all the support services and opportunities to enhance your research, your development, and your overall experience.
