The Management Division at the University of Leeds invites applications from excellent UK/EU and international students for three fully funded PhDs in management. Faculty members are involved in research at the forefront of the management discipline, including a wide range of subjects from five broad management themes: i) decision research, II) entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship, iii) logistics and information management, iv) organisational behaviour and v) management learning.

Doctoral students in the Management Division are well supported through supervision and training. This helps to develop their skills in data analysis as well as dissemination of their work through seminars and conferences, both at Divisional and Faculty levels, and beyond.

Candidates are not discouraged from developing their own ideas and interest, however we strongly recommend that their proposed research is clearly located within one or more of our core research themes and also considers individual faculty members’ research interests. For more information about our areas of research expertise and potential supervisors please consult our website.

Funding details

We are offering three full-time PhD scholarships as follows:

Two full-time PhD scholarships for two UK/EU candidates covering a maintenance stipend and UK/EU tuition fees for three years, subject to satisfactory progress.

One full-time PhD scholarship for one international candidate covering a maintenance stipend and international tuition fees for three years, subject to satisfactory progress.

Maintenance stipends are paid at the UK Research Council rate (£15,009 in 2019/20, the rate is reviewed annually).
