Our School is comprised of four research centres: the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies, the Centre for Law & Social Justice, the Centre for Business Law and Practice, and the Centre for Innovation and Research in Legal Education.

Supporting PhD study is central to our identity. We have a vibrant and inclusive community of around 100 postgraduate researchers within the School. We seek to attract the brightest and best scholars from around the world and provide them with an outstanding study experience. We also ensure that they have access to a huge array of career and personal development opportunities. Our postgraduate researchers are encouraged to get involved in a range of academic and social events, networks, and societies.

We are committed to diversifying our community and particularly encourage applications from, but not limited to, Black, Asian, people who belong to a minoritised ethnic community, people who identify as LGBT+; and people with disabilities.
